Don "Pepin" Garcia "Blue Label" has served as the inspiration for the creation and development of our other lines. Hand made using 100% Nicaraguan tobacco, this cigar features an extra-oily, cinnamon colored Habano Rosado wrapper. Made at the small factory within the My Father Cigars warehouse in Doral, Florida, Don Pepin Garcia Original (commonly known as Don Pepin "Blue Label") has undergone some changes since it debuted in 2003. The company has added sizes to the line, put a secondary band in place that reads "original" and changed the wrapper from Ecuadoran to Nicaraguan Corojo Oscuro. These full-bodied cigars have an oily reddish-brown Nicaraguan Corojo Oscuro wrapper, underneath which are well-aged and highly fermented Nicaragua long fillers and Criollo binders.
The "Blue Label" is presented in a beautifully handcrafted "flip-top" cedar box of 24 cigars. It has an average rating of 93 points in Cigar Aficionado Magazine and has been included in the list of the Top 25 Best Cigars of the Year. The Don Pepin Garcia Original, also known as Don Pepin Blue Label, is one of those cigars that opened the door to success for legendary father and son cigar makers Jose and Jaime Garcia.
