The Plasencia Alma del Fuego Ometepe is a special edition cigar that comes in a 6 x 54 box-pressed torpedo format, representing the first cigar to use wrapper tobacco grown on the volcanic island of Ometepe, Nicaragua. This medium to full-strength Nicaraguan puro offers a nutty, woody and fruity profile with hints of spice, radiating passion and complexity with savory notes of earth, coffee, roasted cashews, wood, and spice.
The cigar utilizes Ometepe tobaccos for the double binder and half the filler blend, aged for seven years to achieve their full potential, while the wrapper and remaining fillers are from Jalapa, all grown on Plasencia's own farms operating for more than five generations. The volcanic soils of Ometepe Island create some of the world's best tobacco due to their black, nutrient-rich composition from the two volcanoes on the island. As Néstor Andrés Plasencia stated, this cigar celebrates their achievement of successfully growing wrapper tobacco of unparalleled beauty in Ometepe, an island of great significance to both the family and indigenous peoples of the region.
Each cigar comes individually packaged in a glass tubo with a two-piece, magnetized base, with boxes containing 20 cigars. This limited edition joins the $100 cigar club, representing the second blend to use the Alma del Fuego line, following the regular production version introduced in 2019.
