A commemoration of a near-perfect perfect growing season over a decade ago, Macanudo Vintage Maduro 2013 boasts an exceptional Broadleaf wrapper grown during one of Connecticut's hottest summers on record. The humid days and warm nights produced a refined and oily tobacco leaf complemented by an impeccable blend. For the Macanudo Vintage Maduro 2013 it's a 10-year-aged U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf. In 2013 the Connecticut River Valley growing season experienced effectively perfect weather conditions: record high temperatures, soggy humidity, and ideal rainfall. An oily, refined ten-year aged Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper houses a Honduran binder and a mix of Brazilian, Dominican, and Nicaraguan fillers. This five-country cocktail clocks in at medium-bodied, and brings notes of coffee, dark fruits, subtle spice, and earthiness to the palate. The world's first Vintage cigar was created by Macanudo more than 40 years ago to spotlight an exceptional wrapper produced in part by Mother Nature. The Vintage tradition marches on with Macanudo Vintage Maduro 2013. They're made in the Dominican Republic at the General Cigar Dominicana factory. The cigars are individually encased in cedar wrapping and are presented in handmade, solid wood boxes that protect 20 expertly-crafted cigars, each made by artisans at General Cigar Dominicana in Santiago, DR.
