The Zino Nicaragua features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, a Nicaraguan Semilla 56 Seco binder, and a filler combination of Honduran Visus from the Olancho and Jamastran regions, Nicaraguan Visus from the Ometepe region, and Dominican San Vicente and San Vicente Mejorado Secos. This medium-bodied cigar offers an earthy profile with notes of cedar wood, coffee, dark chocolate, cream, spices and some natural sweetness. Halfwheel awarded the Zino Nicaragua with an 88-point rating, while the cigar has an MSRP of $6.50 for the Robusto size.
Zino Nicaragua was created for those individuals who enjoy life with zest and flair, embodying the adventurous spirit of Zino Davidoff himself. The cigars are made in Honduras at Davidoff's Diadema Cigars de Honduras S.A. factory, representing the first regular production release since 2011's Zino Platinum Z-Class Series. It would be positioned as more of a value-priced cigar, and at the same time it would not be targeted for just premium tobacconists, but also for convenience stores.
Master Blender Tasting Notes describe "Peppery notes accompanied by hints of salted cashews and leather are pervasive throughout the smoke." Zino Nicaragua is something anyone can appreciate, both new and seasoned, with recommendations as a morning cigar, and it is absolutely box worthy.
