Today's Perla del Mar features special, hand-selected, aged binder and long filler tobaccos from four distinct regions in the lush mountains of Nicaragua: Pueblo Nuevo, La Reina, Condega, and Jalapa. Production is handled at J.C. Newman's PENSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The cigars feature a distinctive "Tampa-style" pressing that renders the cigar more rectangular in shape, creating a new rectangular box-press design.
