Metropolitan Host is one of America's top selling cigar brands. The Host Hobart has been the number one selling cigar since 1995. A mild to medium in power, a draw like silk, almost perfect burn, sweet and smooth. To balance this smooth and mellow premium cigar, Ferio Tego has chosen a Connecticut wrapper. And of course, the sweet, sugarcane-dipped cap provides another level of complexity. Smooth to medium bodied with a touch of sweetness on the cap, Ferio Tego Metropolitan Host utilizes a golden blond Connecticut Shade wrapper over top of Honduran long-fillers and binders to produce delicious notes of cream and almonds with a dash of spice for a balanced flavor profile.
Michael Herklots and Brendon Scott, both former executives from Nat Sherman, decided to revive the Timeless and Metropolitan brands that were the very core of Nat Sherman's premium cigar lineup. Formerly made for Nat Sherman International, the Metropolitan Host is now made exclusively for Ferio Tego. Produced in Davidoff's Honduran factory, Diadema Cigars de Honduras S.A., it's no shock that these handmades are top notch in construction. Many of these blends were created more than twenty-five years ago and have been painstakingly maintained year after year.
This blend pairs well with just about any libation of your choosing, however, it truly pairs best with a simple cup of coffee. The ideal after-dinner cigar, as its mellow flavors are the perfect sensation after a full meal. For thirty years, Metropolitan Host has been sought after for its mellow and slightly sweet profile, consistency and value.
