The Nub Cameroon features a Cameroon wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaraguan filler with medium-full strength, delivering loads of nutty, earthy flavor. The cigar offers a sweet, cedary profile with intriguing spice, a dry and toasty aftertaste, and intense pepper through the nose. The concept behind the Nub was to isolate the most flavorful portion of a cigar and keep the smoker there from first draw to the last, with the Nub Cameroon burning cool and smoking well.
Handcrafted at the award-winning Oliva factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, this caramel-colored beauty consists of a hearty core of Nicaraguan filler, Nicaraguan binder, and a gorgeous, toothy Cameroon wrapper. They are made by Oliva Cigar Co. but marketed under Studio Tobac, which is the more creative, experimental arm of Oliva. The Nub Cameroon 358 received a 92 rating from Cigar Aficionado and was ranked #23 in their Top 25 Cigars of 2015.
While originally intended for more experienced aficionados, the Cameroon version can be easily enjoyed by anyone, being easy on the palate and never overwhelming, yet complex and enjoyable enough to smoke any time throughout the day. It pairs well with white wine or light beer. These stogies are rolled at a fat 60 ring gauge and, while four inches long, tend to smoke for at least an hour due to quality construction and excellent Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos.
