Joya Cabinetta is different. It brings out the best of two differents wrappers in one cigar. It was expressly blended with mellower, medium bodied Nicaraguan fillers that deliver a smoother; more refined smoking experience. It sports an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper for two-thirds of its length, and a Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper in the final third. This distinctive wrapper covers a Nicaraguan binder and filler. This medium bodied cigar offers a smooth smoking experience with its notes of cedar, spice, and cocoa.
The original Nicaraguan cigar. Joya de Nicaragua debuted in 1968 as the first cigar manufacturer in the country. In that span, they've mastered Nicaraguan tobacco blends like no one else. The Joya De Nicaragua Cabinetta is handmade in Nicaragua. At the Joya de Nicaragua factory, the Cabinetta is what's called a Dos Capas ("two wrappers") cigar. BUT – the Connecticut leaf actually wraps the entire cigar, while the Criollo is actually placed on top of the Connecticut for the last one-third or so. It's designed so that when that Criollo kicks in, you get a new set of heartier, more intense flavors to bring you down the home stretch.
It's an exception to the Joya strength rule: Joya Cabinetta is a more flavor/less strength kind of smoke – and this cigar is excellent alongside a cup of coffee. Smooth and tasty for 2/3 of it then it transitioned into a yummy medium delight. The final 3rd is what will transition people to enjoy the best of both worlds. A myriad of taste and aromatic sensations can be detected in its creamy smoke. Each cigar's head is finished with a swath of sun-grown Criollo that adds just the right touch of peppery linger to the intricate taste profile of these finely crafted cigars.
