The Perdomo 20th Anniversary Maduro cigar is medium to full in body, lighting up with a dependable construction, a viscous texture, and long-lasting flavors of charred oak, earth, bittersweet espresso, and sweet mocha. The PERDOMO 20th Anniversary Maduro has decadent 8-year old Cuban-seed Nicaraguan Maduro wrappers that are bourbon barrel-aged for an additional 14 months to ensure the rich, sweet flavors pair perfectly with the higher-priming Cuban-seed Nicaraguan binder and filler blend that offers a balance of semi-sweet notes of chocolate and espresso on the finish. Rich, toasty notes of cocoa, coffee, and leather coat the palate as subtle hints of sweet pepper and earth complete each puff.
The Perdomo 20th Anniversary Maduro is the darkest of three unique smoking experiences, made in honor of Perdomo Cigars' milestone anniversary in 2012. Along with the Maduro, this includes the fan-favorite Perdomo 20th Anniversary Sun Grown and Perdomo 20th Anniversary Connecticut. Building on the success of the company's former 10th Anniversary cigars, Perdomo sought to up the ante, making use of high-priming, highly aged tobaccos throughout the entirety of the blend. These Cuban-seed leaves were harvested from the company's Nicaraguan farms of Estelí, Condega, and Jalapa, allowing eight years' age before making their way into the final product. Nicaraguan Broadleaf maduro wrappers from the highest priming, extra-fermented, cedar-aged, then barrel-aged in old bourbon barrels for 14+ months prior to being applied.
Awarded Nicaraguan Cigar of the Year in 2014 by Cigar Journal, the PERDOMO 20th Anniversary brand has consistently earned the highest scores in the industry and is a top seller in humidors around the world. A gentle box-press is the finishing touch to this impressive Nicaraguan puro. The strength gradually builds during the slow burn, completing a satisfying and incredibly well-made premium from the Perdomo family.
