Background

For much of the 19th and 20th centuries, Florida-grown tobacco was integral to premium cigar making, but that took a backseat for decades until Jeff Borysiewicz, owner of Corona Cigar Co., purchased a virgin 20-acre farm in Clermont with the express interest of reviving Florida's historic tobacco traditions. Borysiewicz began cultivating tobacco on his small farm in 2013 with the hopes of reviving The Sunshine State's historic legacy of cigar tobacco growing, which had ended in 1977. The partnership between Jeff Borysiewicz and Jonathan Drew began in 1999 when they first met and became fast friends, forming a partnership of mutual respect and support as Drew created a culture of industry disrupting cigars while Corona put 100% of their efforts into supporting Drew Estate, leading to this full-circle moment more than 20 years later.

History

In late 2021, Drew Estate shipped out 5,000 special edition sampler packages to retailers across the country called Freestyle Live Event Packs, which included 3 new unnamed cigars that were Drew Estate's next big project, unveiled a year later as 20 Acre Farm. The ultra-premium 20 Acre Farm cigars became available to all premium cigar retailers nationwide beginning in early December 2022. The Florida Sun Grown tobacco farm is known for its rich, sandy soil at the same elevation as Cuba's famous Pinar del Rio, helping create a tobacco that is truly unique and uniquely American.
